Lorry drivers move over eighty percent of goods in the UK, yet we - the public - know so little about them.

This exhibition was commissioned by the Trucking Lives research project and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. It explores the work and lived experience of UK lorry drivers, bringing their stories to the foreground through photography and testimony.

Together, these portraits and voices reveal a vital workforce that keeps the country moving all while navigating long hours, tight schedules, time away from home, and the constant pressures of modern logistics. The exhibition invites you to look beyond the cab and the motorway, and to see the skill, resilience, and humanity behind the deliveries upon which we all rely.
